Gazprom Space Systems Participated in International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2010)
GSS Delegation participated in the 61st issue of International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2010) held from September 27 to October 1 in Prague (Czech Republic). The Congress is conducted by International Astronautical Federation and International Academy of Astronautics. Every year thousands of scientists from different countries come together to exchange their experience and discuss urgent topics in the sphere of space investigations.
The program of Congress was saturated with plenary and technical sessions. Traditionally the following top managers of the leading space agencies spoke at the first IAC-2010 plenary: Administrator of NASA Charles Bolden, Director General of European Space Agency Jean-Jacques Dordain, Head of Roscosmos Anatoly Perminov, Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization K Radhakhrishnan, President of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency Keiji Tachikawa.
GSS Designer General Nikolay Sevastiyanov spoke on the technical session dedicated to advanced systems of space communications and navigation. His report Space Information Systems in the Interests of Russia’s Arctic Region Development was prepared in cooperation with the representatives of Roscosmos and the Russian space industry.
