Gazprom Space Systems Finalist for 2009 Teleport Award for Excellence

Again Gazprom Space Systems has granted the recognition of the world telecommunication community. The Company was chosen as a finalist for the World Teleport Association's (WTA) 2009 Teleport Awards for Excellence.

Each year WTA announces the finalists for its 2009 Teleport Awards for Excellence for the three nominations: Independent Teleport Operator of the Year, Corporate Teleport Operator of the Year, Teleport Technology of the Year.

For the two years running Gazprom Space Systems has been ranked among the top three finalists for the 2009 Corporate Teleport Operator of the Year award:

  1. Gazprom Space Systems (Russia)
  2. Schlumberger (United Kingdom)
  3. SingTel (Singapore)

The recipient of the award will be named on March 25, 2009 at the WTA's 14th annual Teleport Awards for Excellence Ceremony and Luncheon at SATELLITE 2009 in Washington, DC.

According to World Teleport Association Executive Director, Robert Bell, "It is rewarding to see so many countries and diverse types of operators represented in our awards program. Each of the finalists for the 2009 awards has proven their dedication to providing the highest level of service. The changing dynamics of the global teleport sector were reflected in the applications and the emerging technologies which teleport companies and their technology partners introduced to the market. The finalists for WTA's Teleport Awards have each made significant contributions to the success of the industry and their customers are well-served."
