Gazprom Space Systems upgraded one of the key satellite communication networks operated for the benefits of Gazprom. This network of the Gazprom’s affiliates (subsidiaries) was put into operation in 2002.

In 2003 Gazprom Space Systems created the satellite segment of the upper level videoconferencing system based on this network.

In 2011 Gazprom Space Systems upgraded the Gazprom subsidiaries’ satellite communication networks and the videoconferencing system in order to improve the efficiency of the satellite capacity using, services reliability and quality.

On all the network earth stations the outdated modems P-300 were replaced by modern CDM-625 with «carrier-in-carrier» function and thanks to this replacement it became possible to allocate one duplex channel within the bandwidth of one simplex channel and thereby to release about 2MHz for each communication direction. As a result of the network upgrade the total volume of the released free satellite capacity amounted to 44 MHz.
