Yamal-402 Satellite Integration by Thales Alenia Space

At Thales Alenia Space plant (Cannes, France) the mating of Yamal-402 satellite payload and service platform modules was performed after their successful stand-alone tests.

During next eight months the assembled spacecraft will be exposed to the cycle of acceptance tests including electrical, thermal vacuum, mechanical ones and the tests at the antenna range.

Yamal-402 telecommunication satellite has been produced by Thales Alenia Space under the Gazprom Space Systems’ order.

Specialists of Thales Alenia Space and Gazprom Space Systems assemble the TT&C earth station, the equipment of Mission Control Center and data transmission systems on the territory of Gazprom Space Systems’ Telecommunication Center.

The launch of Yamal-402 satellite by Proton-M vehicle with Briz-M upper stage is scheduled in October 2012.
