Yamal-300K starts commercial operation
The satellite operates at the 90°E orbital position.
After IOT Yamal-300K satellite was put into commercial operation.
Satellite is operated from the Mission Control Center of Gazprom Space Systems, located in Schelkovo, Moscow region.
The satellite operates at the 90°E orbital position.
All satellite’s transponders are switched on. Customer’s signals have been loaded on the satellite.
For reference
Yamak-300K satellite was produced by the ISS Reshetnev company, which was responsible for development, production of the satellite based on the Express-1000N bus, its putting into operation on the orbit, and also for arranging the ground control complex.
Gazprom Space Systems was the customer of Yamal-300K and also the designer of the payload, TT&C, ground control station and other ground control subsystems.
Yamal-300K was launched on November 3, 2012.
The satellite was placed at the 90°E orbital position in collocation with Yamal-201 operating in this position from 2003. There are 26 transponders (72 MHz) in С and Ku-band.
Yamal-300K on-board antennas form 4 beams.
Contour C-band beam has 8 transponders of 72 MHz each. This beam covers almost the whole territory of Russia and CIS countries.
The similar coverage zone is formed by contour Ku-band antenna. It has 6 transponders of 72 MHz each.
Elliptic Ku-band beam covering the most populated part of Russia has 9 transponders of 72 MHz each.
Steerable beam has 3 transponders of 72 MHz each and it is pointed on Australia.
