Sat Space Africa (Namibia), a well-known provider of reliable and cost-effective services of the Internet access on the African continent, have started using Yamal-402 satellite capacity in October last year. Since then the volume of the leased capacity by this company has increased two times.

To provide services based on iDirect Evolution technology the company is using a teleport in Rugby (UK). Forward links, uplinked in the European Beam of Yamal-402, are downlinked in the Southern Beam of the satellite thanks to the cross-connection possibility between the beams.

Sat Space’s operational center providing the customers with English, French and Portuguese twenty-four-hour support is located in Namibia.

«Yamal-402 will provide us with excellent Ku band coverage for the Central and Eastern parts of Africa. We can now offer satellite Internet services in all of sub-Sahara Africa to our customers, many of whom have pan-African service demands» - said Shimri Lotan the Managing Director of Sat Space Africa.
