Yamal-402 satellite capacity is used for delivering services to Ghana

Gazprom Space Systems signed a contract with Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions and services. In accordance with this contract Gilat Satellite Networks starts using satellite capacity of Yamal-402 Southern Beam.

Gazprom Space Systems signed a contract with Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ, TASE: GILT), a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions and services. In accordance with this contract Gilat Satellite Networks starts using satellite capacity of Yamal-402 Southern Beam.

This capacity is intended for providing satellite telecommunication services based on Gilat SkyEdge II-c technology in Sub-Sahara Africa.

At first stage Yamal-402 satellite capacity is used to implement broadband Internet connectivity in schools and will deliver services to mobile operators in rural areas of the Republic of Ghana.
