Gazprom Space Systems continues to develop South and South-East Asia markets
In Singapore at the largest in the region CommunicAsia2010 exhibition the company presented possibilities of its future Yamal-300K, Yamal-401 and Yamal-402 satellites, which are planned for launch in 2011-2013.
Providing Yamal-202 satellite capacity as early as 2004 to South and South-East Asia, Gazprom Space Systems created a wide customer base in this region. Despite the strong competition from the global and regional satellite operators, the company succeeded in becoming a remarkable player on this market. Yamal-202 satellite is a well-known for the Asian service providers. At the exhibition the company prolonged several contracts with the current customers already using this satellite capacity.
Being sure in the Asian market prospects, Gazprom Space Systems plans to expand its presence in this region: part of the new future satellites’ capacity will be allocated to serve it. At the show the company made presales preparation for these satellites’ capacity.
Moreover, during the exhibition the company’s specialists held negotiations with the suppliers of the technology and equipment allowing, in particular, using deficient now satellite capacity in more economical and effective way.
In general, the company considers its participation at the show as successful and fruitful.
