Cameroon TV Channels Start Broadcasting on Yamal-402
Gazprom Space Systems concluded contracts with several TV channels from Cameroon for use of Yamal-402 satellite capacity in Southern Beam.
One of the channels is Canal 2 International. This is a private TV channel founded in 2004, based in Douala, large economy center of Cameroon. The channel provides news, entertainment sitcoms, series and sports.
Another channel is Moving Pictures International (MTI), the studio also in Douala, specializes in news and politics debating.
The founder and CEO of MPI Mr. Hippolyte Kamdem Fotso visited a Gazprom Space Systems booth at Sviaz-2016 Exhibition and also Gazprom Space Systems facilities: Telecommunication Center in Shchelkovo and Television Center in Moscow.
Yamal-402 satellite capacity is used by Cameroon companies for both: full time broadcasting and Occasional Use.
Yamal-402 satellite Southern Beam has a good coverage over Sub-Sahara Africa. The capacity of this beam is widely used for broadcasting of African TV channels. In particular, a bouquet of government Angola TV channels is broadcast via Yamal-402 satellite.
