Gazprom Space Systems provided a range of communication services at the opening ceremony of the Amur Gas Processing Plant

On June 9, 2021, the solemn ceremony of launching the Amur Gas Processing Plant took place.

The event was attended by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, Alexey Miller, Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee and Vasily Orlov, Governor of the Amur Region.

Gazprom Space Systems specialists provided a range of communication services at the ceremony. A total of ten mobile satellite communication kits, equipment for video conferencing, live TV broadcasting and Internet access were deployed at the Amur Gas Processing Plant, the Chayandinskoye field and on Nametkina Street in Moscow.

There were also involved the facilities of Gazprom Space Systems Telecommunication Center in Shchelkovo and the capacity of the Yamal-401. In addition, the capacity of the Yamal-402 satellite was used by the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company for the live broadcast of festive events.


The Amur GPP is located near Svobodny town in the Amur Region and is being the main enterprise in the center of deep gas processing in the Far East. The Power of Siberia gas trunk line supplies the plant with multicomponent gas from the Chayandinskoye field, from which valuable components such as methane, ethane, propane, butane and helium are extracted at the plant.
