From September 6 to 10 the World Satellite Business Week took place in Paris. Held each year this forum is the most important event in the satellite industry. It gathers the top management of companies working in this sphere such as satellite operators, satellite and launch vehicles manufacturers, providers of satellite services, and also representatives of the biggest insurance companies and banks.
The second year the Symposium on Earth Observation Business was held in the framework of the forum. Nikolay Sevastiyanov, Designer General, Gazprom Space Systems, spoke on the Symposium. In his report Industrial Space Information System for the Needs of Oil and Gas Sector he told about the way to the step-by-step development of the SMOTR aerospace earth observation system to the benefit of the oil and gas complex of Russia.
