Gazprom Space Systems Delegation Activity at IBC 2012 exhibition

The largest European telecommunication exhibition IBC 2012 was held from September 7 till 11. As usual Gazprom Space Systems presented its exposition at the event.

Company’s representatives met with their international customers. During meetings and negotiations the contracts on the current Yamal-200 satellites capacity provision were prolonged and expanded. Moreover Gazprom Space Systems concluded contracts with new clients. In particular the Comsoft company (Germany) will use Yamal-202 satellite capacity to provide services for the benefit of the air traffic control system in South Asia.

But the main task for Gazprom Space Systems delegation at the IBC 2012 exhibition was to promote on the international market Yamal-300K and Yamal-402 satellites to be launched this year. About the third part of 118 equivalent transponders of these satellites is dedicated for sale on the markets outside of Russia.

International market is an important part of Gazprom Space Systems business. International sales share is 27% from the total company’s revenue. Current Yamal-200 satellites capacity is used for service provision to the end users in 50 countries.

In 2012 the IBC exhibition has expanded significantly – over 1,400 companies participated in it. Moreover there was an all-time number of the attendees (about 51,000) – conference delegates, exhibition visitors and exhibitors.
