The main goal of the new network is to increase efficiency and safety of the air transportations on the Yamal Peninsula for the benefit of Gazprom in the conditions of the flights intensity permanent growth in the course of the new gas fields development.

It is planned that network resources will be also used to provide the operation of the radio broadcasting automatic slave observation system of aircrafts traffic control, which is deployed by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise State ATM Corporation on the Yamal Peninsula.
