Yamal-300K is under preparation to be relocated to the East
In early April the planned relocation of Yamal-300K Satellite from 90E to 183E orbital position has to be started.
In early April the planned relocation of Yamal-300K Satellite from 90E to 183E orbital position has to be started.
Having successfully moved all the clients operating through Yamal-300K onto the recently launched Yamal-401, Gazprom Space Systems started preparations to this procedure.
Yamal-300K moving will take slightly more than a month and in May 2015 the Satellite will be ready for commercial operation at the new orbital slot.
To control the Satellite during relocation and further operation the Eastern Control Point including stationary and mobile TT&C stations was deployed in Skvortsovo near Khabarovsk.
Yamal-300K was launched on the 3rd of November 2012. The Satellite in-orbit lifetime is 14 years.
