Located over the very center of the Eastern hemisphere it is ideal for providing services over the territory of Russia. The visibility zone in this position covers 95% of the Russia territory with over 98% of the population.
Yamal-201 satellite is equipped with hybrid C-band and Ku-band payload and allows the arrangement of communication and data links, videoconferencing, TV distribution and satellite Internet access services. National and regional TV networks, remote education and telemedicine are implemented based on it.
